In this presentation, we will discuss how seniors fall victim to scammers. The characteristics and warning signs of a "vulnerable senior" will be reviewed, along with examples of how each category of perpetrator harms the senior and the negative effects it can have on their all-around well-being. This program also covers the many ways seniors can put legal safeguards in place through pre-planning and steps that can be taken during a crisis. Finally, we will discuss community and other resources that are available.
