Saturday, February 33:00—4:30 PMRoosevelt RoomMaynard Public Library77 Nason St, Maynard, MA, 01754

A slide show and talk by ArtSpace artist, Andrew Child, on his 10 years of work and travel to Cuba. Andrew Child has been visiting the island nation of Cuba for a decade. His first book, Havana: Light Beyond Vision, explores the Caribbean metropolis through panoramic infrared photography. His latest project is co-publishing the fine arts zine, CubaSeen, which brings together imagery by Cuban and American artists. It creates opportunities for collaboration – giving voice to the truths that emerge when visual artists from different cultures interact in meaningful ways. Andrew is a proponent of cultural exchange between the US and Cuba and will show imagery from the island nation and discuss various ways Americans can travel legally to Cuba.
