Writing Life Stories

Wednesday, April 310:00 AM—12:30 PMRoosevelt RoomMaynard Public Library77 Nason St, Maynard, MA, 01754

Would you like to honor the vastness of your life experience? Document personal memories, life lessons, observations and stories for family, friends and, perhaps, even editors? Might be a legacy document, a personal essay or a short memoir. Please join us for this fun, insightful and supportive 2.5 hour writing retreat. You’ll do exercises designed to get the creative juices flowing, jog memories and identify recurring themes. Sharing is encouraged but optional. I bring story examples to read as well as provide a handout with writing tips as well as places to submit stories for those who are interested in pursuing that route.

Giulietta Nardone has been writing personal essays and memoirs since 2005. Her stories have been published in places such as Psychology Today, Spirituality & Health, Boston Globe Magazine, Chicken Soup for the Soul and broadcast on NPR. She is the author of the award winning book: Feel More Alive! 30 Brilliant Ways To Reignite Your Inner Spark.

This program is supported in part by a grant from the Maynard Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
