Bill Gette has led many travel programs to Panama for Mass Audubon. During this richly illustrated PowerPoint lecture, Bill will take you to two of the most rewarding natural areas in the country - Soberania National Park near Panama City and El Valle de Antón located in the central mountains. In Soberania National Park, Bill has photographed a wide variety of wildlife, including Brown-throated Three-toed Sloth, Mantled Howler Monkey, Green Honeycreeper, and Leaf-cutter and Army ants. From El Valle (“The Valley”), Bill will share his photographs of Rufous Motmot, Keel-billed Toucan, Basilisk Lizard, and incredible insects and beautiful tropical plants. Bill will also include photographs of ships passing through the Panama Canal at Miraflores Locks and scenes from a village market in El Valle.
